Finally, I am Getting Tired

I have been very proud about my energy. I thought no one else can do it better than me. But I noticed I am getting tired finally. In the past 1.5 months, everyday:

6:30 A.M: Get up. Shower. Prepare for work. ( 1 hour)
7:30 A.M: Leave home. Ten minutes walking to the subway station. Take Subway to the bus
stop ( two lines). Then take a 1 hour bus to my office. (2 hours)
9:30 A.M: Arrive in the office. Start Working and breakfast. (3 hours)
12:30 P.M: Lunch (1 hour)
13:30 P.M: Start Working again(6.30 hours)
19:00 P.M: Finish work ( Finish time should be at 18:30, but every time we leave half hour later.
(10 minutes)
19:10 P.M: Take a bus to the Lido hotel and switch another bus to home (2:30 hours)
20:30 P.M: Arrive at home. Dinner. A little exercise . Talk to my family for awhile. Shower.
(1.30 hours)
22:00 P.M: Go to sleep.
22:00 p.m--6:30a.m: Sleeping.

Another day same as before......

So, 24 hours = 9 hours ( work) +4 hours (travel)+8.5 hours (sleep)+2.5 (Home)

Also, now you know how huge Beijing city is. See the Beijing map http://www.hoteltravel.com/china/beijing/maps.htm. Where I live at the East ( Chaoyang District), and I work at the northeast ( Airport). It doesn't look so far right, but it take two hours by bus.

Yes, I have been looking for an apartment near my office but haven't found any.
1. I want to find a cheap one as I will just stay during the week and go home on the weekend, and I also want to save as much money as I can, so I can travel around the world in the future( My biggest dream).
2. Beijing is preparing for the Olympic Games and everywhere there is re-building, so many people have to rent their own house.

Hummm.... I feel so tired now. Going to bed, good night!!

Blogspot has Been Released

Amazing, the blogspot.com site has been released in China. So you don't need to add the long anonymous link in front of the web address. Well, anyway, all my readers are from outside of China. I am the only person who needed to add anonymous in front of luolingling.blogspot.com.

Humm..maybe this entry is a little bit short. Let me throw out some old pictures.

This picture was taken in 2004, my last year in college. Why did I use this picture? Because I was just thinking about this puppy. I bought Honey from the market but she died after 5 months because of illness. She was very very cute, just like a little girl-- shy and quiet. I cried a whole day after her death. Three years have passed, I still miss her.

Yoga Again!!!As I mentioned before, my schedule is fully occupied by work, sleep, bus. So I rarely have time to do exercises. But one day I noticed I was getting so heavy and I felt it was getting harder to breath. No, I can't let it go. So I started to do some yoga movements and lifting. I bought a VCD and just follow the coatch, she is already 36 but looks like my age. I think If I keep doing yoga, when I get to 40 I will look like 30. Great! You see the water bottle next to me it is the instrument for lifting. It's useful.

Maybe you noticed the furniture patterns in my living room have changed. We nailed up the TV on the wall so it saves some space.

Ok, it's weekend again. I will try to take more pictures. Stay tuned in~_^

Beijing Sky

Sunday around 7:00 p.m. After meeting with a friend, I walked home and captured some pictures.
The rainbow was very unusual, it looked like falling stars. The two tall buildings are my apartment buildings, twince tower?

I bought some fruits at the market. This is the picture where I took from. You call tell from the sky that the next day(today) was very sunny and hot.

The Sight I Saw

This morning, I was in the subway to the office. It was very crowded as usual. I stood in the middle of the train.

"Sister, could you please yield your seat to me as I am disabled." I saw a boney, dirty young man was carrying a heavy & big sack speaking to a woman who was sitting on the seat and about 30. She leered at him without any reaction. Then he took his disabled certification out to show her that he was not lying, but it seems she had no plan to leave her comfortable seat. Finally, next to her a middle-aged man gave his seat to the disabled man.

The train kept moving. After a little while, the boney man suddenly fell down on the floor and started twitching and foaming at the mouth. People kept away and stared at him. I didn't know what was happenning. "He will be fine later.........", a guy next to me said, it seemed like he knew what the problem was. People were all looking at the man, he didn't know what to do. At that time, I saw three people( two women and one man) start whispering then laughing.

I didn't know what was so funny that made them laugh while the poor guy was suffering on the ground. I also glanced at the woman who didn't give her seat to the guy, she had no any expression during this time. Seems she had been through many tragedies so she had no more feelings for anything.

After a while the poor man recovered and sat back on his seat.

I felt sorry for him and I also felt sorry for the other offish people. They didn't seem to know what sympathy is. As a compatriot, I felt shame about it. I don't know how people in other countries act. But some things in China I really don't like. I have often seen this kind of reaction. Here are some:

1. No one will stand out when they see thief stealing other's belongings in public, so the thieves
get more rampant.
2. Too many swindlers, so people trust others less.
3. Spitting on the ground.
4. Rush for the bus or subway.
5. 6. 7......

Maybe the education system really needs to be changed. The teachers should also teach manners and not only focus on the test scores........Or people will become more like animals.

Home Made Food-Sichuan Style

In the past two weeks, I have been busy with my work. I am still traveling by bus back and forth from my apartment to the office. So my time was fully occupied by work, travel and sleep . I didn't find a fit apartment near my office yet. So there was nothing exciting to write about. I haven't got my visa to Birmingham yet. There were some problems with the invitation letter, so I had to ask the company in Birmingham to send me another copy.

Last weekend, some friends came over and had dinner with us. My sister and her boyfriend made decent Sichuan dishes.

You can tell how spicy it is from the picture. It is Shui Zhu Yu ( Boiled Spicy Fish), a typical Sichuan style dish. You would be surprised if I toldl you my sister's BF made it. Even though he comes from the north, he still has the same taste as my sister. Thats one of the reasons they can get along very well. They both love music and spicy food. I think men usually do a better job as a cook or a barber. Maybe thats the reason the cooks and barbers in China are usually male. In the south, men cook more than northern.

The above dishes were made by my sister. She makes a good Doufu ( Bean Curd). I love Doufu, I think I inherited this from my father as he loved Doufu very much. The one on the left is Hui Guo Rou( Double Cooked Pork Slice), it's the most famous Sichuan dish. I make a good one, but I don't make it often. In the small dish is Sausage. Do you remember the one in my previous pictures? This one was the last sausage we had this year. So the next time we eat it again will be when the new year comes.

How do you feel when you are looking at these pictures? I love this food, but can't stand it too much. Often it happens that after eating this kind of spicy food, I will have some mung bean soup to feel clean. It's just a habit.
